How To Spend The Best Vegan Day Trip to Miami in South Beach
Miami is known for its Cuban flavors, pastel Art Deco buildings, swaying palm trees, and beachside cocktails, but can we actually enjoy a vegan day trip to Miami without stress, especially if we’re staying in the South Beach area?

We arrived in Miami from Orlando via the Brightline train one day before our Virgin Voyages cruise. This gave us a full day to explore South Beach on foot and keep everything simple, relaxed, and completely plant-based.
From early breakfast to late-afternoon bites, we found cozy cafés, bakeries, and restaurants that made eating vegan in Miami surprisingly easy.
In this quick guide, we’re sharing the exact food stops we personally tried so we can help you plan your own smooth, plant-based day in the city.

1. Joe & The Juice (Vegan Breakfast Miami Beach)
We love starting our mornings early, especially before a cruise, and Joe & The Juice was our go-to vegan breakfast Miami Beach stop.

It opens early and is only one block from the Greystone Hotel, where we stayed before sailing.

2. Under the Mango Tree Miami (Vegan South Beach Miami Brunch Spot)
One of our favorite brunch stops in vegan South Beach, Miami, is Under the Mango Tree.

This cozy café is located close to Ocean Drive and the Art Deco Colony Hotel, making it an easy walk from many South Beach hotels. They offer several vegetarian and vegan dishes.
What we ordered:
Before heading to Under the Mango Tree, we took a slow walk through the Art Deco streets of South Beach. If you enjoy learning little stories about the neighborhood while you explore, this relaxed South Beach walking tour is an easy way to see the highlights.
3. Bunnie Cakes Miami (Vegan Desserts & Gluten-Free Treats)
Bunnie Cakes Miami is a well-known vegan bakery. While their physical store has closed, you can still find their famous mini cupcakes at Whole Foods locations around Miami, including South Beach.

This stop is perfect if you’re craving something sweet between exploring. What we love most is that they offer several gluten-free options, making it an easy win for gluten-free vegan travelers like me.

4. Ciao Amore Miami Beach (Vegan Gelato Miami Beach Stop)

If you’re walking Española Way, you have to stop at Ciao Amore Miami Beach. This charming Italian gelato stand sits right on the pedestrian-only street and offers several fruit-based vegan gelato flavors.
Vegan flavors when we visited:
We tried the passion fruit gelato, and it was soft, refreshing, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. This is easily one of our favorite vegan gelato Miami Beach finds.
5. Moreno’s Cuba (Vegan Cuban Food Miami Experience)
Trying Cuban cuisine is a must in Miami, and yes, you can enjoy vegan Cuban food Miami style.

Moreno’s Cuba felt like a hidden garden oasis in South Beach. Their outdoor patio is shaded with trees, calm, and refreshing, a perfect place to slow down after a day of walking.
