What’s the Virgin Voyages Spa Really Like Onboard?
If you’ve ever wondered whether the Virgin Voyages spa is worth visiting, you’re not alone. I had the same question before my first sailing.
After five Virgin Voyages cruises and several visits to the Redemption Spa, I’ve been able to see what makes it unique and when it might be the right fit for your cruise.
In this post, I’ll walk you through what it’s like to spend three hours in the Thermal Suite, the circuit I usually follow, and a few tips I’ve learned along the way.
If it’s your first time sailing, you might also want to read my post Virgin Voyages Tips You Wish You Knew Before Boarding, which covers everything I wish I’d known before my first cruise.
My goal isn’t to convince you to book, but to give you an honest look at the experience so you can decide if it’s something you’d enjoy on your own Virgin Voyages adventure.

Virgin Voyages Thermal Suite Spa Review
I’ve sailed with Virgin Voyages five times, and on four of those trips, I visited the Thermal Suites in the Redemption Spa. Each visit has been a highlight due to the calm and relaxing atmosphere.
The first time, I went by myself and enjoyed it so much that I encouraged my husband to join me. Ever since then, we have always gone together.

He loves it because the spa has a completely different energy compared to the lively pool scene on Deck 16. The spa even has an indoor pool that feels peaceful and quiet, and is totally worth it.
For me, these 3 hours are perfect, not only for relaxing, but also for the detox benefits. Sweating in the sauna and moving through the circuit helps eliminate toxins from the body, leaving me refreshed every time.
My Go-To Spa Circuit
There’s no set order for enjoying the spa rooms, but here’s how I usually go through them:
1. Dry Sauna
2. Cold Plunge
3. Steam Room
4. Salt Room
5. Mud Room
6. Pool, Jacuzzi & Marble Beds
