In this post, I’ll share my Virgin Voyages 🚢 Beach Club at Bimini reviews, which I think is a must-visit destination for any sailor when stopping at Bimini port. The Beach Club is at the Bimini North Island in the Bahamas 🇧🇸, and it’s just 50 miles off the Florida coast.
This beach club offers an unforgettable experience (my opinion!). Also, I’ll cover essential tips, and what to expect to make the most of your visit to Virgin Voyages the Beach Club at Bimini.

What is The Beach Club at Bimini?
If you sail with Virgin Voyages from Miami port, you’ll probably make a stop at The Beach Club at Bimini. Check your trip route before booking to confirm your itinerary includes this experience (if you want to visit the Beach Club).
The Beach Club at Bimini isn’t a private beach of Virgin Voyages because other cruises and local hotels may utilize its facilities. However, Virgin Voyages sailors enjoy the spot exclusively whenever one of the lady ships docks at Bimini.
Visiting The Beach Club 🏝️ is my favorite stop, and I know it’s echoed in many Virgin Voyages The Beach Club at Bimini reviews. The unique vibe, along with the activities and experiences, stand out from the moment you step off the ship. The best part? You don’t have to pay additional to get there or enjoy the facilities.
How to Get to The Beach Club
Virgin Voyages offers complimentary tram transportation to get to the Beach Club at Bimini. Some adventurous souls might decide to walk to The Beach Club (around 20 minutes walking). But I honestly don’t recommend it, unless you want to explore the area near the port. Taking the tram is definitely my way to go, and you’ll arrive at The Beach Club within 7-8 minutes.
The tram runs every 15 minutes, and it makes a first stop to drop off anyone who books shore things. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to explore the island. Consider getting off the tram at the first stop to rent a golf cart.
Tip: Don’t forget to bring cash! Because the golf cart rental isn’t a Virgin Voyages shore thing.
Is The Beach Club Accessible?
Once you arrive at The Beach Club at Bimini, you’ll notice the thoughtful accessibility features in place. Ramps and pathways to pools and the beach, ensure friends with limited mobility can enjoy the beach club.
This attention to accessibility is frequently highlighted in Virgin Voyages the Beach Club at Bimini reviews. Showing the commitment to providing a welcoming environment for all.
What to Expect at The Beach Club
At the beach club, you’ll find plenty of spots to sit and relax; hammocks, lounge chairs, umbrellas⛱️, and even swings. At the main entrance, you’ll find a lounge area and one of the many bars. After the main entrance, you’ll encounter the two lagoon pools divided by a walkway leading to the beach area.
- Wi-Fi connectivity: When you visit the Beach Club, you’ll have access to the Virgin Voyages Wi-Fi🛜. It may not be fast for live social media but it’s good for checking emails and social media notifications. If you want to know more about Virgin Voyages’ Wi-Fi speed, you can read about my experience using the cruise internet.
- Locker availability: You’ll find lockers near the restroom area to store your belongings. They’re a convenient option if you want to enjoy the beach club without worrying about personal items.
- Can I use my Bar Tab at the Beach Club? Yes, and typically, your visit to the Virgin Voyages Beach Club is the day before disembarkation. If you bought Bar Tap, this is the perfect time to use any remaining balance. Remember, if you don’t use it, you’ll lose it!
This is an ideal opportunity to buy a refreshing natural water coconut 🥥. You can order it with alcohol or “Virgin”. Don’t forget to take a picture with a lovely stamped message.
If you didn’t buy the Bar Tab or don’t have a remaining balance in your Bar Tab. You can order drinks and they’ll charge to the credit on file. That’s the best part because you don’t have to bring extra cash.
What to Bring to Bimini Beach Club
When you visit Virgin Voyages Beach Club you don’t have to pack towels, food, or basic beverages. However, there are essential items you should consider bringing.
- Reef-safe sunscreen 🧴 to protect your skin from harmful rays without impacting our reefs.
- Bring a beach hat 👒: My first visit to the Beach Club resulted in a painful sunburn on my scalp 🥵. Because the sun visor hat design didn’t provide adequate protection.
Tip: I honestly recommend avoiding the sun visor hat style. Trust me, you’ll be busy enjoying the pool party and may find yourself in the sun 🌞 for several hours.
- Waterproof phone 📱 case to keep your phone safe while you’re by the water.
- If you’re a book 📖 lover like me, don’t forget to pack a book to get lost in while lounging by the beach. I can’t travel without my Kindle (Oasis). Whether you are into physical books or an e-reader lover, don’t forget to bring something to read.
- If you stay by the beach area and you want to enjoy your preferred taste of music then I recommend you pack a portable speaker.
- I never stay late in the Beach Club but I’m from the Caribbean and I know how bugs behave in the evening. If you want to stay longer to enjoy the sunset view you might want to pack bug spray.
- When you get to Virgin Voyages Beach Club in addition to the complimentary basic drinks station by the food area. You’ll find water pitcher stations. However, if you want to keep your water cold, I encourage you to bring an insulated water bottle.
Pool Party at Virgin Voyages Beach Club: A Review
One of the most iconic activities in the Virgin Voyages Beach Club is undoubtedly the lively pool party. Powered by the electrifying Virgin Voyage DJ and the incredible Happening Cast. Expect vibrant dancing, bubbles, mermaids 🧜♀️, and colorful pool inflatables to enhance everyone’s enjoyment.
I love the entertainment hosted by the Happening Cast; the DJ will play a mix 🎵 of techno, hip-hop, and reggaeton that gets everyone moving🪩! Make sure you grab your complimentary snacks at the Beach Club before 1 pm because the pool party typically kickstarts from 1 to 3 PM.
If you prefer a more serene experience at the Beach Club without the energetic vibe of the pool party, you can hang out at the beach area 🏖️ or stay in the lagoon pool located near the rockstar 🎸 sailors area.
Tip: Personally, I like to stay by the pool party area, but I will admit that the music can get a bit loud 📢 at times. If you’re sensitive to noise a pair of earplugs might be good advice to bring.
Virgin Voyages Bimini Beach Club Food Menu: A Review
Many sailors don’t know that you’ll find complimentary food at the Virgin Voyages Beach Club. The food typically is served from 11 AM to 3 PM. But check with the crew members as times may vary.
The best part! There is no limit on how many times you can eat as long as you order during serving hours. I have to warn you, you won’t find typical beach fare like burgers or hotdogs. Instead, you can enjoy smaller portions of healthy and refreshing dishes. I’ve been able to find delicious vegan and gluten-free options. Also, you’ll find complimentary drinks like water, coke, and juices.
Note: I’ve visited the Beach Club four times and I’ve noticed small changes in the dishes options. The Virgin Voyages Bimini Beach Club food menu in the photo is from my last sail with the Valiant Lady in October 2024.
Cabanas at Virgin Voyages Bimini Beach Club
For an additional fee, you can rent a cabana at the Virgin Voyages Beach Club at Bimini. The prices can vary depending on the location you choose. You’ll find cabanas with a lovely beach view, a poolside view, or a VIP area called Rockstar’s Retreat. Typically, these cabanas come with a double day bed and side table, two beach chairs, a drink cooler, and a coffee table enough to fit four sailors.
Note: The cabanas in the VIP area are primarily reserved for Rockstar sailors. However, check out the Virgin Voyages app because some may be available for regular sailors if they aren’t fully booked. Plus, booking a cabana here gives you access to the exclusive Rockstar area at the Bimini Beach Club!
Is Renting A Cabana Worth It?
The cheapest price cabana (Grove Cabanas) I have seen is $400 per cabana. This fee includes a first round of drinks valued at up to $100. With that bonus in mind, the cabin price could start at $300. You can see Cabanas’ location on the Virgin Voyages Bimini beach club map.
If you’re celebrating a special occasion like a birthday, anniversary, or honeymoon, renting a cabana might be a great choice. Because you’ll get a dedicated service team, taking your orders and saving you time heading to the bar to order drinks.
Keep in mind that the walls of the cabanas are made of bamboo, which may not offer the level of privacy you’re looking for. Also, consider the location of your cabana. If you’re looking for a peaceful experience, I wouldn’t recommend the Lagoon Cabanas, because they’re placed right next to the DJ and pool party activities.
Tip: If renting a cabana is something you want to experience. Make sure to book it as soon as you have access to the shore things because typically, they get booked fast! Shorethings open 120 days before embarkation (135 days for 🎸Mega RockStar and RockStar Quarters).
I’ve found a special occasion that warranted renting a cabana, especially since there are plenty of chairs and lounges with umbrellas throughout the beach club to enjoy the day. If you want to find a good spot then definitely arrive prior to the pool party kicking off!
More Tips for Virgin Voyages The Beach Club at Bimini
- The happening cast will keep the sailors highly entertained. Besides energizing the lively pool part party, they also host several games around the beach club. Keep an eye on the Virgin Voyages app for updates on game activities, some don’t even need advance reservations!
- When it comes to facilities, I’ve noticed the restrooms located behind the Beach Bar tend to be cleanest. For this reason, it’s a good idea to secure a spot closer to that area.
DON’T FORGET TO READ:
- I hope you don’t need it. In case of any emergencies, you can seek assistance from the Virgin Voyages nurse (located next to The Main House).
- I highly recommend taking advantage of this complimentary experience. After all, you won’t have to pay extra unless you want to enjoy non-complimentary beverages. However, If you’re not in the mood to spend your day at the beach club. You can explore North Bimini Island through various Virgin Voyages shore things activities.
Why You Shouldn’t Miss The Beach Club at Bimini
When it comes to experiences at the Virgin Voyages Beach Club at Bimini. I have to say I’ve enjoyed my time there over my four sails with all the complimentary amenities. If you want to avoid additional excursion costs, a visit to the beach club is an essential part of your Bimini port day. But if you’ve already visited and want to explore Bimini Island you can try any of the shore things activities or even rent a golf cart with from the locals.
